  on Israel Making Generic Patents As Big An Int'l Trade Issue As Corruption And Bribery?
  Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Teva Pharm a Multinational/Global company with its main headquarters in Israel. Especially with all the acquisitions over the years (Bayer, Novophorm, etc), wouldn't those acquisitions negate the supposed accusations from other companies in North America and Europe. Through there acquisitions and there own R&D wouldn't squash any complaints about marketing as well. Teva is global and it seems defeatist to bundle them in with other issues when I would think that Teva would be seen as Global (USA, South America, France, etc.) I can only assume that it is grouped in there because they are one of the larger producers of generic drugs which doesn't help the USA Pharma corps with there name brand drugs and there associated costs. Just seems like a lot of BS for nothing when they should concentrate on counterfeit drugs, products, etc. Personally I having nothing for or against Teva but just from my viewpoint they shouldn't be grouped with the other issues unless they are being accused of producing fake drugs (which I don't believe is the case at all).

  Problems with the system and cost

  on Why The Healthcare Industry Doesn't Want Electronic Medical Records
  I know from personal experience that the whole paper records is a rip off and the only reason is to try and get every last penny you have even for simple doctors notes. Having medical record in electronic forms would be beneficial on the whole since it allows people to not have to worry about transferring medical records from one doctor(s) to another. Also it eliminates the fees that occur during these transfers. It also reduces the risk of problems during diagnosis/treatment since it allows the doctor to properly treat the patient regardless of the situation. The only resistance is do to ignorance, refusal to spend the money on equipment, and/or the old school doctors that have no idea how to type/use a computer.
  
  Obviously the medical industry is trying to make money the problem is they waste so much of there own money by refusing to do such things as electronic medical records, simplified and standardized documentation/records. Even though electronic medical records may seem small it is part of a much larger problem is probably one of the first steps to fixing such a huge overwhelming problem with the health care industry.
