The problem is that T-mobile and Sprint both use different communications protocols. GSM vs. CDMA protocols. So the coverage maps would not particularly change until they are all unified in communications protocols./div>
One correction is that Sprint would be merging with T-Mobile, as the Resulting Company would have T-Mobile as the Majority shareholder. I think this is important as T-mobile is probably the only Telcom that is actively expanding and innovating in US. They have majorly expanded their network and recently acquired new bandwidth from the FCC. So T-mobile as the Majority company may not be as bad as Sprint as the Majority company./div>
