Last time I checked, with the exception of the random "independent" christian churches that like to claim they have a religious exemption for vaccinations which are specious to begin with, there is literally no organized religion that forbids vaccinations.
Exactly. I can't see the ruling from Judge LeGrow able to stand up to any kind of challenge. It appears like she presided over a kangaroo court in this case.
I would assume the guy can file a lawsuit against the law if he wanted to push the issue. It doesnt seem like something that would stand up to scrutiny in a case.
Why was having a huge chunk of the world boycotting South Africa over apartheid okay, but boycotting Israel for a much worse form of apartheid not okay?
I have a real problem with copyright infringement protected by law as much as it is, and penalties being worse than those of violent crimes against people.
In response to a comment I made criticizing the Author's Guild on twitter, Joanne Harris accused any organization that scans any books still under copyright and makes them lendable online of being pirates, So that means the entire University system of California, MIT, and Yale are all pirates. I'm sure they would be surprised to know that.
I worked for apple for almost 5 years and each time the company pulled some bullshit like this, it just made me doubt the company more and more. When the company was found guilty of e-book price fixing, the execs kept telling the employees "the company" did nothing wrong and "apple" was innocent. I suppose that's true when it was the execs involved that were responsible, but lets not quibble. The company kept pulling shady shit and I couldn't stand it any more.
If this is the behavior of the execs of one of the biggest cable cos in the country, then the courts need to knock them down a peg. What kind of racist bullshit is that?
That's one of the major effects of the CA NN law. It's going to force the fed to either deal with the headache of multiple states NN laws or actually implement real NN on a national level instead of the transparent handouts to the industry.
Let's be clear, the entire broadband industry didn't sue California. The big ISPs run by the bells and cableco did. The independent ISPs Like Sonic.net aren't part of this.

Well yeah, it "could" be broken up using no legitimate reason, except again, no one is being forced to use these apps. You can use an android device and not use gmail or google search. There are lot of android devices that already do that.
Talk of anti-trust against companies like google or facebook can't be taken seriously while ignoring real anti-trust violations by companies like Comcast, at&t, verizon, disney, etc.
