This is really and truly horrific. How man thousands of innocent folks have been convicted by bogus evidence? This is an incredibly wide ranging conspiracy to commit heinous crimes. It's hardly a stretch to accuse them of kidnapping and murder. They should use the typical drug-war crazed conspiracy tactics to go after all of these criminals masquerading as officers of the law and US Prosecutors etc. That would be an incredibly entertaining spectacle.
Uh, we really shouldn't forget the massive chaos and mayhem, and slaughter and disruption and and and in other countries resulting from that war, it's hardly restricted to the US. Another cost often missed is the ridiculous restrictions and roadblocks put up for legitimate access to a lot of meds, like triplicate prescriptions and doctors often being too afraid to prescribe pain meds, not to mention how marijuana still is unavailable for most folks who could benefit. MILLIONs have suffered, often horribly and for a long time, due to this insanity.
E-books totally suck at all kids of usages, you can't hide stuff in them like money, no cutouts for booze or weapons etc, they're not heavy enough to help flatten or hold something down, or beat someone to death, you can't stack them to use as a stool, they can't be used for stool residue removal, you can't really have a huge array of them to make people think you're smart, they're a lot less likely to stop a bullet, or cut you painfully so you can laugh how ridiculous it is that you're about to die from blood loss because of a fucking piece of paper, there's a lot more, but more bookishly, like analog clocks, there is something more, not sure the term, organic or intuitively useful, about seeing how far you've read with a physical book than a % or bar graph. Thumbing through a book isn't doable, and especially catalogs just ain't the same, there's nothing like paging through a catalog to see what fancies the mind at some point. BUT, having both is best for lots of reasons, for me 'search' stands way out
I think Hans Christian Andersen's heirs should be able to sue Erikson's heirs for a cut, then Edvard Munch's heirs could start screaming about how he's the 'Edvard' that's a famous artist and Erikson's heirs owe them everything they've earned off their ancestor's name.
It's a little disturbing to see this stated so casually. It reminds me of the numerous incidents I've read about some subject, usually black, who is getting beaten up by the cops and gets charged with assaulting a police officer because, while getting smacked around, some part of his body hits one of the officers. Or there was a guy got charged with destruction of city property because he bled on the shirt of one of the officers beating him up.
Am I reading this right:
"This has exempted a few classes of important use cases, but just the fact that (1) these uses need to be renewed every three years"
Wouldn't that mean that someone could avail themselves of granted exemptions to create something entirely legally [at that time], then the exemptions could be refused renewal at the next 3 year period, so then the creation would become illegal at that point? That's seriously fucked up, like grandfathering crimes.
You just haven't found the right product. Swoosh on over to justlubeit.co and we'll fix you up with something that will let you get as savory as you wanna be. [justlubeit.com actually exists, wonder when they'll hear from nike]
"is no more protected under the First Amendment, than speeding on a crowded sidewalk.."
But what about speeding in a crowded theater, while possibly yelling 'fire'? What if you were moseying down the sidewalk?
Yeah, the incompetence is rampant, obvious, and intentional. It's not a bug, it's a feature! EVERYONE's blood should boil at this BS, we just need to put the regulators in pots and turn on the heat until they change their ways or their blood literally boils. And the pols too, they're the ones who keep pushing this nonsense. Better yet, just bring in the guillotines and take them ALL out. Yeah yeah, French Revolution bad, maybe it's worth it. It was the headiest of times, it was the headlessiest of times, at least we won't freeze to death.
*The officer complained that civilians were “p****s”
Time and again, the police prove what pathetic and despicable cowards they truly are, not to mention petty cruel assholes. I always have to say in these kinds of posts--they should change their uniforms to pink tutus.
So the climate NOT changing has nothing to do with human input or fossil fuels? Breathtakinginanity. It's like you're denying lots of people died. Forget climate change, this has NOTHING to do with climate change, it's to prevent something that DID happen from happening AGAIN. Folks doing this shit is at least understandable when they're doing it for profit, it's evil, but their motivations are clear. When it's just some dumb fuck ahole who's promoting this stupidity for their own virtue signaling BS, it's just beyond belief insane.
"disastrous and deadly"
"resulted in countless deaths"
This same ol same ol BS is really grotesque, it should make any decent human being physically ill just to hear about it. They need to round up these motherfuckers and charge them with depraved indifference, though summary execution would be the better way to go, to make sure they can't do it again.
Thanks you for the explanation. That makes sense, I guess the folks I worked for were getting it wrong all that time even if it was actually in a sense 'right'.
There are numerous definitions of the word. It's use here just isn't the way anyone talks, that's why I said it was jarring. The question is whether it's jargon in patents, is this usage common in patents? Changing 'plurality' to 'number' was something I received specific instruction to do so it makes me curious to see it here in a patent.
The word 'plurality' kinda jars in that patent. I briefly worked for a company that did translations of technical documents including lots of patents. I didn't translate, only edit for clarity and accuracy of the translation. One of our translators always mistranslated 'number' as 'plurality'. I don't really understand what you're saying about the word, I can't parse the sentence in a way that makes sense to me based on the rest of the quote. Is 'plurality' some kind of patent jargon? I'm just guessing, maybe they were basing their patent on a previous patent from some foreign source that was similarly mistranslated.
