Willing to bet it they would loose their exclusivity in the area. Then they would probably reach a deal with Comcast or the other incumbents to avoid expanding in to those areas. So charter just takes the fines and keeps raking in money while screwing everyone over./div>
There was a blog that showed how overpowered you would become if you paid for loot boxes in Battlefront 2. The blog bought the $100 package and completely dominated the game for a few hours. It was to the point that they were pretty much invulnerable to non paying players.
Someone did the math and the cost to purchase the locked heroes and items was something like $2500. If you wanted to unlock them through game play it was about 100 hours per hero and over 6000 hours to unlock everything./div>

"The facts of the case are pretty damning and Larpenter's best bet now is to find some way to settle before the monetary pain gets worse."
I know it probably makes financial sense to settle, but I hope they don't. I would like to see something like this go though the courts and attempt to set a precedent for future cases. Something that would strip him of his ability to be a police office or hold a public position after abusing power like this. And on top of that make sure he is pretty much bankrupted by this, since he wouldn't have had any issues doing that do these people/div>
Also with the visual voice mail, I know Verizon used to have a charge for that service. I never used it but I am willing to bet they have some kind of creative accounting to charge you based on the number of voice mails transcribed. If not they probably scrape the translation and sell that information, which would increase the amount of other spam you will receive.
No matter how you look at this it is an annoyance that we should not have to deal with./div>
