In the office, yes, but surely outside of the office, they have family (kids and probably grandkids as most of them aren't young). Unless there are Amish congresscritters, I find it incredibly hard to believe that there isn't a home PC/Laptop .../div>
What I'd like to see... is Google do the same thing, a blackout with a large link pointing to an informational site on SOPA/PIPA on ALL their pages... (perhaps with a timer so that it doesn't disrupt the web too much) .. essentially giving everyone a taste of what will happen if this comes to pass... and I wouldn't even say just limit it to google.com ... but all google searches (as this bill will affect the world... and perhaps make people pay more attention to what their own gov'ts are doing (I'm sure the Irish Gov't would like some people support vs EMI))
The same with Youtube just a black page 'This is your world under SOPA/PIPA if allowed to pass' a link to relevant informational site.. and a countdown timer 'Regular service will now be restored' ...
That WILL get peoples attention.. the congress critters may even get pressure from their own families to drop it... big media will not be able to ignore it... it will be totally in everyones face.../div>
When everything blows up in their face and things go horribly wrong.. they'll be the first ones to try and blame the nerds for not telling them... even though they've pretty much stuck their fingers in their ears and gone 'LALALALALA'
If SOPA passes, I will be blocking US access to my many sites.. and I'm pretty sure a lot of other sites will follow suit.../div>
I'm pretty sure Skype was doing this a long time ago... converting text based phone numbers to a clickable links that would open skype and call the person in question.../div>
Hmm, did you pay the artists that you 'stole' from?
"Usually I was playing my personal favorite covers from Neil Young, Dylan, Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead honestly because that put the $$$ into the guitar case, though i do LOVE their songs , and tried to do the great songs by them that were not always their most popular."
After all, you made money from their work.. they should get a cut... it's only right dont you think?/div>

Get rid of power steering (except for the elderly/infirm/disabled)!
Back in the days (oh crap that makes me sound old) before power steering, you NEEDED to keep your hands on the wheel... sure there were other problems back then (drink driving etc) but people were less likely to pull stupid crap because you had to fight with the wheel to do it, it wasn't a trivial one handed swerve to cut in, it generally took 2 hands to make sudden movements/sharp turns../div>
The guy wouldn't have even needed to open the pictures if the explorer view settings were on 'thumbnails', literally opening the directory that the (or any) images were stored in would have displayed little mini-pics of the contents (including some of the documents if they were .pdfs)../div>
I think this is more of a money grab than anything... It's a total non-event..
I used buzz the moment it was offered, and the check box is right in front of you about displaying info.. How is it Googles fault that people didn't pay attention? I sure did, nobody got to see my contacts..
Even if someone has the highest privacy settings on facebook, their 'friends' can be viewed, even if you're not their friend.. hmmm just like the Buzz default... ohnoes!!/div>
I have a buzz account, and when setting up your profile (which it bugs you to do) you can clearly see the check box about whether or not you want to have that info public or private.
It's public by default, but I don't think it's a bad assumption from google../div>
Don't forget to pay your $X to the owners of Star Trek, after all, you did just use their IP ... and there's no such thing as fair use.... remember?/div>
You forgot to invoke Godwins law and mention the Nazi's ... I'm sure it has something to do with them as well...
"They need to violate your rights, to protect the children.. and stop terrorism and drugs (cause we all know that piracy is addictive!).. and because the money from conterfeit sales help evil geniuses build Haitian earthquake machines and sponsors nuclear research in Iran... not to mention funding for the Nazi campaign.... won't somebody please think of Haitian Nazi Pirate scientists children!"/div>
