  Maybe their real concern is...

  on BMW Apparently Concerned That New Google Holding Company 'Alphabet' Infringes On Its Trademark
  A company as big as Google using a name they're already using... Maybe their real concern is, even as big as BMW is, the possibility of Google taking Alphabet then suing everyone else for infringement.
  
  But nah, we've never seen that happen before, have we?
