The citizens of the US are simply cash cows at the mercy of whatever corporate owners dictate. This is the prime reason we have such awful consumer protection laws and regulations. No matter the item the US pays more for it and gets shittier service, broadband, mobile phones, loans, insurance, healthcare, etc etc etc.
Yes, it is call an election, unfortunately while everyone hates all the other politicians, they just love their own because no matter how ineffective, useless, criminal, insane or uneducated their representatives are, their base is even more so and continues to vote for them, usually against their own best interests.
There is a reason the saying "You will always get the politicians you deserve." appears to be 100% accurate.
I don't comment often, although I read this site most everyday and normally find comments I would have made already made. I guess, according to your anonymous post, if you don't comment often enough your points are less valid?
And amazingly almost 50% of this country looked at this shit show over the last four years and thought, "Gee wouldn't another four years of this be real peachy keen!".
Asking a republican to drop the nonsense and to quit lying would result in them never being heard from again, not that it would be a ad thing, just saying.
I am guessing that to a certain segment of the population that being Anti Fascist is a bad thing.
Well, as the person playing the role of president has said, "There are good people on both sides." Never thought that there was ever a good fascist, but we live in interesting times.
I don't even understand why the cable companies need to pay any fee to the local broadcasters, it isn't as if they are providing something that can't be received for nothing with an antenna. It is just free money to the local broadcasters as well, who also make their money with their crappy ads as well./div>
You sit down one day and write some nonsensical drivel. You decide that everyone should see this drivel because it is truly spectacular drivel. You have created an account on this drivel publisher called Hatepamphlet, and agreed to their terms and conditions about what sort of drivel they allow to be posted on Hatepamphlet. Hatepamphlet didn't really like what you said because it was really hateful, and removed it.
Section 230 doesn't apply.
If on the other hand they left it up and someone really disliked your drivel and sued Hatepamphlet, because no one should bear the thought of reading your drivel. Section 230 would apply, because they are immune to the suit.
Retransmission fees for over the air broadcast television is a stupid idea in the first place, the network is making its money from the advertising. I am not sure when this fee got approved, but I seem to recall at the start of cable television they were begging to be included and at one time cable operators had to include all signals in an area./div>
I like this and it is so right. So many people have died in the name of god, then any other way.
I think that a rule should be instituted that any politician invoking any religious document, should immediately be dismissed from office. This is a secular nation and no religion should interfere with the running of government./div>
It has always amazed me that doing basically the same thing as a radio station somehow means that you need to pay them. If radio stations don't pay, why should anyone else, doesn't the same "advertising" aspect apply to any of them?/div>
I'm not sure what their video proves, it seems to me he jumps on the knockoff charis much harder than their own. But, yes, this is the way to distinguish your product amongst others./div>
