He said it correctly (... he said. “I don’t know what people are expecting from us") but doesn't see that irony.
Maybe if he found out what people ARE expecting, he'd do better?
And I thought I was going to be the first one to post this idea .... and I find I'm just at the end of a line <sigh>
Side note: I laughed at "Streisanded" and wondered what she'd think of her name now being a verb.
Well, you see, it's like this ....
Catching REAL criminals is hard work. It can also be quite dangerous, as the "real" big time criminals are likely armed... with REAL weapons, no less. And, they have this nasty tendency to USE said weapons when pressed too hard by LEO.
Then, on top of all that, "real" big time criminals probably know the legal system better than the judges or lawyers - and definitely better than the officers.
It' much easier (and safer) for the hard-working LDOs to manufacture your own custom crimes to prosecute. That way you can keep your arrest and conviction stats high without breaking a sweat!/div>
"The government has responded in the worst way to terrorist attacks in the US."
Considering that the major purpose of "terrorists" is to force political/social change by threat of violence, the terrorists "won" the day DHS was created. Each time the Surveillance State escalates (in the name of terrorism), the terrorists laugh harder.
Cox lost their "Safe Harbors" status when they failed to "follow its own repeat infringer policy". Gonzales may have been a defacto ISP, but he did not have a repeat infringer policy to "fail to follow"./div>
Sometimes your deals offer things that I actually have use for, such as this ... and I have yet to see one (that I'm interested in) that ships to Canada. <sigh>/div>
"In the end, don't trust everything that you read online" It's rather ironic that anyone would even *need* to say that! yet the failure to do exactly that is the real root of "fake news problem"./div>
"...the public views the word "comic-con" as a brand and not a generic term..." I've known what a comic-con was as long as I can remember - but until this case started, I hadn't heard of SDCC. So much for it being a "Brand"./div>
The more cynical of us could almost come to suspect that the "collateral damage" is really the hidden agenda here; a feature, not a bug! All they need is a vague sorta accusation that there is maybe infringement somewhere vaguely in the vicinity and the content they actually want gone is nuked... accidentally, of course./div>
Exactly. I do mostly CADD work for my job, but each of the projects has to be verified on-site - so I "print" to pdf, put that one a tablet (that has a stylus), go on-site to make notes, then come back to my PC to update everything. They are simply for different kinds of tasks./div>
"Most technology experts agree that Defendants could and should be doing more to stop ISIS from using its social network." Really? Give real, workable examples of HOW to do this, please?/div>

Speaking for myself, I was disappointed that Canada sent a team. We - the country AND the athletes - should have taken a stand and walked away.
/div>Translation
"Elect someone who is not a liar" = "Elect someone who is not a politician"
/div>Masnick's Law of Process Abuse?
Masnick's third law: "If you give people tools to take down some content, they will be abused"

/div>It IS worse than it looks
Not QUITE the same

My vote for funniest ....
That got me! .. I want to vote for that as the funniest comment./div>
Another possibility...
For what it's worth...
