this was likely in response to things like the ski jump which were with fake snow directly in front of some stacks that LOOKED like nuclear reactor towers. They were actually industrial cooling towers from a shuttered factory, but the gist is the same the Winter Olympics were largely held in a location with no snow or winter but all manufactured snow next to industrial areas.
You realize the only reason Netflix puts their movies in any theaters is to meet the bare minimum to qualify for some film awards. They don't care and don't push to release them on a national level because that's not what they're after they have their own national distribution model ... it's called Netflix
my 1st gen fire tv is unable to keep up with all the options and information these days, but i have several newer ones that still work better than anything else. While chromecast works pretty well the fact that there is no remote and you have to use a phone to control it means sticking to fire sticks or roku for my wife anv guests.
Not sure how they would get on board with this, one of the things they're advertising out of the gate is that their plans include 4 streams for much less than netflix
Politicians keep doing actions and making changes that they think are OK for their team but should not apply to others, completely ignoring reality and the hypocrisy of everything they're doing and saying especially with video and audio you can play side by side saying the exact opposite based on who is impacted.
because they can use the other aspects in the law going after future sites without bringing up the most vulnerable piece. In this case the site is already dead and they're highligting the piece that is weakest about an already terrible bill./div>
Seems to me that amending this complaint is a big risk for the law with no real upside. Backpage was already taken down without the law, but trying to apply this law retroactively they open themselves up to legal challenge of the highly questionable retroactive piece of the legislation./div>
wrong, since May of 2016 when I moved, and I was not the first house in the neighborhood, I have had 1Gbps symetric, up and down, at my house, pretty sure one of the two major political parties in the US can get the same or better service with all their connections and money/div>
To be fair, having used it for quite a while it is secure. The problem is, for whatever reason, the DoD certs are not published like verisign, symantec, etc. and others built into the browsers. As most States likely never use the DoD systems they haven't had to deal with it. DoD publishes the root cert bundles as a manual process to validate sites like SAFE as being secure, but the panel did not provide the root certificates nor any instructions related to their usage to validate the security of the site or others like it in question./div>
life's not fair, if you don't have powerful connections to get you out of following the rules you are stuck with the consequences. same with not paying taxes and anything else the people with the connections and money have a different set of rules and if you think you'll get to play by the same ones you'll be sadly mistaken. it's not fair but thats the way the system works./div>
she didn't just release this to the american people she released it to the world. No one is really surprised by the information, but it's unknown yet if the information reveals source information or capabilities which is the bigger problem. It's not her call as to what is classified at what level and what to do with it. That was a condition of her clearance, and she now has to deal with the consequences./div>
Plus as was clearly pointed out if tp bothered to read the article, this was not a claim by Disney or Lucas but a third party that has nothing to do with either of them or Star Wars and the video has been reinstated./div>
I think what you stated is best. If you can use another source that actually wants links. If you have to use Wired, NYT, etc. maybe a different colored link or something. As some suggested you may even be able to automate this.
All links to ad-list wired.com, NYT, etc are automatically colored red or something to minimize the hassle for the techdirt crew./div>
same for me. we're currently building a new house partly to get away from comcast and at&t so we made a criteria that the internet service cannot be provided by one of them for us to build in any location. Luckily we found a location that has Gig Fiber provided by Home Telecom, that my friends who have their service love./div>
I've been complaining about this for years since I'm in one of the original "test" markets and sent in complaints before and after the Net neutrality rules, maybe they'll actually do something as more people complain, but any one citizen just gets ignored./div>
Also, as someone who has been in a "trial market" for 2-3 years, long before the FCC did anything it's just Comcast realizing the government will let them do anything they want and their customers can't go anywhere else./div>
I'm already currently getting screwed about this. I've already filed an FCC complaint last year when Comcast said I was using ~100GB/month more than my router with DD-WRT said I was using. When I asked for details as to when/how this supposed discrepancy happens, they couldn't tell me any details about usage per hour/day/etc only the last 3 days and the month.
So that's great the FCC will look into it if they expand their "trial", but in the meantime I've been under this "trial" for the last two years and nothing seems to happen or change./div>
If they are going to collect this information congress should have the same or less protections than the rest of America. This is the only way to get them to pay attention or care. Normally they carve out exceptions for themselves, and thus don't pay attention to or care what they're law create. Like the TSA, congress gets to skip them./div>

How did he hire a "professional" gamer that couldn't even beat other racers that aren't gamers?
