I could see maybe this being a civil matter where the cheater could be sued in court for causing damage to the online business but I wouldn't call this a criminal matter. That is way over the top and is setting a dangerous precedent. It seems these days authorities try to criminalize everything especially in the United States where it has the highest prison population in the world and people are jailed long periods of time for petty crimes and things that shouldn't be criminal. Bottom line is it is a game for heaven's sake! It is supposed to be fun! Lighten up people!/div>
I think it is time to boycott big media. Maybe Google can get the ball rolling by removing big German media sites from Google search results in protest of the potential new law. That is one way of getting the attention of big media and letting them know they are being jerks. Bottom line for everybody around the world is don't give money to those who would lobby to have your freedoms taken away. That means not buying or consuming big media products such as movies, music, games, books and newspapers etc. They need us more than we need them remember that./div>
It seems to me that copyright is increasingly being used as a weapon against the general public and I hate it. I wish copyright would be drastically scaled back because it is unfair to the general public and weighted too heavily in favour of big corporations. As it stands now in order for somebody to exercise their fair use rights they have to be able to afford a lawyer to defend their fair use rights in court. That isn't much of a right if you can be sued for exercising it./div>
