now that is a great idea! good to see some innovation in marketing from the artists.
thats the one thing that kills me w/all of this RIAA litigation is that NO ONE EVER HEARS FROM SAID ARTISTS whose music is the source of litigation.
i wish the current day 'top' artists would perhaps stand up a bit more for their fans/listeners. i know i don't blog for a company that goes against everything i do. wait.. i remember the 80s term for it.
sellout
just my .02
again, great job AC/DC on using a little creativity!/div>
you need to understand the ecosystem that is video games and i don't think he does.
plus, the video game industry is not one that needs saving or reinventing at the moment. of all industries, video games are thriving and selling without any problems.
he should try helping the newspapers and music industries first. music for a game does not mean you know how the industry works./div>
piracy is always out there. that is the digital world and life we are in. if i get a song from a pal that i like, you know what i do? i go to the bands site and buy a tshirt or a poster. i prefer to support the artist directly rather than pay the 'man'.
remember that the industry wouldn't be an industry w/o us. your reasoning sounds like that of the News Corp and how to handle news online.
i agree w/the prev posters (and enjoyed the post by G. Steve, good memories)
myspace's problems (imo) have been its super crapphy UI, horrible ad placements, and of course figuring out its own identity. is it artists or a teen scene like you said?
also, system stability issues with their blog system made me say goodbye to myspace (which is better now but after you've written a 2 page blog post and then have it timeout w/o any saving options, yea you move to a different site after that kind of crap)/div>
a true geeek does not need support... plus.. the devkit and skdr.net are great places for sidekick/hiptop development. a great community too! peace seamonkey420 the hipster mod-god.. haha../div>
