There's a similar bill in Colorado right now, and several "Good Samaritan" bills suggesting amnesty from forfeiture when someone calls as part of a medical emergency.
There are a *bunch* of bills at the state level trying to address this topic this year. Some try to be appropriately narrow to get by first amendment concerns, some are a mess. Here's the whole list:
Inspired by this post I went and looked at what all the states are doing. Turns out there's quite a number of bills referring to the fourth amendment already introduced this year, covering quite a bit of ground.
