Funny how renting a room not in a hotel is considered an "illegal" activity by Ed Case.
IMHO, both local, state, and Federal legislation such as what he is pushing seems to border on violating the "takings" clause in the United States Constitution.
(But so does taxing the person's property who is living on a fixed income. Eventually they will be required to sell the property, not being able to afford owning it...)
Perhaps Timothy isn't old enough to know about Captain Kangaroo's Tom Terrific. And adding to Jeffrey Nonken's comment, Neither did I know about Seaver having that nickname.
Bodog may be down, but too bad that they didn't figure out that at the beginning of the year they transferred all of the poker players and their funds to a new company

I called the DC office of Representative Harris on Friday to express my dismay at his treatment of Josh Fox, only to have his staffer argue with me about how the filmmaker 'broke the rules'...
Despite the fact that I agree politically with Andy Harris on many issues, I told his staffer to convey the message that, in light of the fact that those 'rules' have rarely been enforced, I hope the Congressman's constituents throw him out on his ear in the next election./div>
Presidents have routinely usurped the Constitutional powers given Congress by issuing "Signing Statements", which generally indicate 'I will sign this bill into law, but I choose not to enforce it'.
Most recently, however, president Obama ("president" spelled with a small p, because I no longer have respect for the office) violated the Constitution by directing ICE to quit deporting illegal aliens unless they were convicted felons.
I worry for the future of this once-great country./div>
