    Paul's motive

He did it so show that he's not behind it nor does he support it. Just "saying" I don't support this video doesn't mean much these days. Maybe he knows there is no way in hell they'll be able to track these asses down so its just a motion to separate himself from it. When questioned about the video he can hold a document up stating "That shit wasn't mine!" Hopefully the lawsuit goes no where and he'll drop the it after figuring that out.

I don't agree with the law suit and think it does go against most of his values. That said I don't think the guy had much choice. It could turn into another BS witchhunt and boom he's out of the race again.
He was criticized about the racist zine articles and criticized on how he reacted to them. Guess he should've sued then too. I don't blame the guy for being a little reactionary. He's under the magnify glass now and every thing he does is going to look bad.

Yesterday was peaceful. Today not so much

Being that I'm completely sick of the government's BS. I hope they pass SOPA, NDAA and the like. I hope people really start to see how FUCT our government has become. God forbid if Twitter, youtube or Facebook went down. Then we'd have a real revolution.

When a cd is sold in a second hand store no money is ever seen by the artist. "Used" music stores have been selling vinyl, 8 tracks, cassette and now CD's since the 1940s or earlier? The sale only gets the artists material out there for more to hear. I've only bought a handfull of NEW Cd's in my time on earth. 99% of the time I buy used because it's the same thing for half price. That fact that he was hit with rare LPs and imports makes this even more absurd. They are BUYING it and not "stealing" it from the internet.
But in all comparisons buying it from a used store is the same as downloading it, the artist never seens a dime.
All things considered the store owner should get a handout from the RIAA or CRL because internet piracy is hurting his business! (I'm kidding but the point is valid)

    Ford did

I mean, when is the last time a CEO of a major company came out and just said, "Hey, we're really good. We don't need any additional handouts, so keep your money/influence/laws/etc."?

Ford did. They didn't take any handouts from the government during the first two "stimulus" packages. I only point it out because like you said it's a rarity!

    Good to hear

I only wish it preventing the movies release on a larger scale. Unlike others I hope the movie and music industries fail. Bands will start releasing their music online without large record companies getting in the way of their sales. movie makers will have to dare I say compete in a world market with asian counties that get their movies out for free.
