Now if anyone on the Left ever took responsibility for the hateful, hypocritical stuff they say, something might happen, but no, they'll ignore it and Twitter won't have to do a damn thing./div>
If you wish for any aspect of your personal life that you discuss publicly to be fair game for any and all media outlets to disseminate against your wishes, go ahead and fight this one First Amendment grounds.
I, however, will be over here respecting the privacy of myself and everyone else./div>
No, defamation applies when something is false, even if it's an "opinion".
I could loudly and repeatedly state my opinion of you is that you traffic children and run a dog fighting ring. I'm not saying it's a fact, just my opinion.
Do you think the law should protect me for that?/div>
Leave your doors open and unlocked, keys in your car, valuables on your front porch. Keeping things locked away just means you think all your neighbors are thieves. Don't you want a good relationship with them instead?/div>
Keep playing "semantics" with the whole "review" thing. He gave her game (completely undeserved) praise while clearly in a relationship with her.
And as for those screencaps, well, "Not All Gamergaters are like that" (literally 99% aren't, but you don't care). That's an argument your ilk accept, right?/div>
He's right about one thing: social media allows falsehoods and outrage to spread far and wide with no accountability or consequences. It's partially responsible for fanning the Race War and the violence and destruction that has occurred (though as the past has shown, it existed without it, of course)./div>
"What Popular Science, Reuters and Re/Code are really saying is that they don't care enough about their communities -- or those regulars who do stop by to have intelligent conversation -- to pay somebody to weed the garden."
No, I'm guessing it will increasingly be simply because of differing opinions (at least in the "New Media". Can't be criticized when you silence your critics./div>
Let's see: happened after heightened scrutiny of police actions began, including scrutiny of actions taken at a recent incident in a nearby town. Let's not forget that the locales most likely vary quite a bit relating to public safety and crime.
If it hadn't been for the race-baiting image comparisons, I might have almost thought you weren't pushing a narrative without regard to facts./div>
"...held by the university's Women's Resource Center" Like any college would EVER criticize one of those groups.
Of course, if it was a "Men's Resource Center" (if they ever allowed one to exist in the first place), they'd be throwing everyone in their Kangaroo court on "sexual assault" charges by the end of the day./div>
"focus was ripped away from her speech" Which is actually beneficial to her. She can now play the victim, and people won't pay attention to the fact that her speech was nothing more than "Men need to give even more to women and still get nothing for themselves, but 'equality'"./div>
...for the irony of the law's name if it's ruled a "good shoot".
The idea is good, as it also provides a check on the public's actions when interacting with a cop. Harder to edit your cell phone videos to remove your friend throwing the first punch when the officer has his own recorded defense./div>
