This is opinion without knowing the facts. These subtitles were only making translations for pirate copies of popular English language content, working together with a release group. Often US pay-TV episodes just before their same day release (Sunday evening in US, Monday in NL). Then they sued BREIN to get a stand alone right to subtitle without consent. They did not get it. Subtitles for any niche product like Japanese anime were not at issue. If anime producers agree to fansubbing then there is no problem because then there is consent./div>
