It was meant for ONE person renting out THEIR apartment or home. In Los Angeles, every local asshole with mommy and daddy's money have bought up any and all new apartments around Hollywood and now rents them out on AIRBNB.
Limiting AirBNB is not like regulations limiting Uber or Lyft. In that case corrupt entrenched Taxi companies need to be shoved out of cities across the country.
However, in the case of AirBNB, the effect is that Apartment rents are skyrocketing in places like Los Angeles and San Francisco, because assholes are buying apartments and condos and then renting them out on AirBNB.
I 100% support efforts to make AirBNB completely illegal.
Nobody likes the Taxi companies because they suck. I don't have to say anything else, it's a shared experience, and everyone already knows.

As usual, some minimum wage retard answered the phone: "What is the address?" conversation ensued. I did not know the address so I gave an intersection.
FIVE MINUTES OF IDIOTIC CONVERSATION CONTINUED. I was NEXT TO A MAJOR LANDMARK!!!!
Half an hour later the Taxi calls and asks me why I am not at the 7-11??
WTF??!?!
This is what the Taxi experience is. 1960's technology, minimum wage, don't care attitude, overpriced, big attitude if you want to pay by credit card.
