which is not consistent with Mickey Mouse laws, and software patents.
Of course monopolistic industries are in love with the bit that reads "securing", but this has been forever intended as an exceptional concession the public makes, it's not a god-given entitlement.
The monopolistic industries would love to believe their own breathing air if you let them have it.
And apparently there's money to be made taking away from the commons, extorting and twisting the law against the sovereign people who graciously granted them exceptional benefits. Not to mention the lobbying parasites who profit from this sorry state of affairs at the expense of everybody else.
I agree 100% about the wild, rampant ridiculousness of copyright law.
However, if the wall on which this was painted is actually private property, it's an edge case.
See for example the legal grounds on which Zucotti Park protesters were evicted by the parks management.
In the current state of legal affairs I wouldn't be surprised if a maximalist concept of private property is applied too.
(For the record, I am philosophically a minimalist on these issues)/div>
I don't need to see the OECD report really, some time ago I was excited about the prospect of starting up in the US.
You know what killed it?
The crazy fascists killed all they joy.
I am perfectly aware that those idiots are a minuscule minority in the developed states of the US.
I know, I know, such crazy cases are "just" in Alabama...
But do you think it's reasonable for an immigrant to be risking everything in the minefield of US-wide state laws whenever she needs to travel for business?
Just crazy.
You can only think these are isolated cases if you are 1) white 2) american. Being white alone didn't save the Mercedes executive the trouble.
It's not racism, it's unlimited, rampant, xenophobia.
Why do you think entrepreneurs would be willing to risk their mental and physical integrity in order to give jobs to the USA?
Only the unaware who have too little to lose would jump in such sorry state of lawlessness.
The America the world used to admire is being destroyed by the crazy idiots, and you're not doing nearly enough, nor seriously taking up the fight to preserve that precious legacy.
Rant over./div>

Beyond the pale./div>
Are you serious?
(I know about OLC, and I disagree that pre-crime is among the attributions of the executive branch)
Giving Hollywood a little help would be peanuts compared to the legal hurdles and material cost of starting an unprovoked war./div>
Are we sure the Mural is public property?

For me, fascism is the deal breaker

Look what happened to a well-established executive of Mercedes in Alabama:

The same happened to a Toyota executive a while later:
