New SETI@Home

It seems that the folks at SETI@Home are getting ready to launch a new version of their client. The article had some interesting facts about how things are going currently. With all the people who have been using SETI@Home, they have surplus computing power. They've actually been able to dig into backlog data, because so many people have passed on their spare cycles for this cause.

    Oh, yes. By making the result file a binary, it will make it hackerproof.

    People who want to screw the results, will screw the results. A binary file or not.
