InsWeb In Trouble

Well, another story about layoffs and dot com companies in trouble. Perhaps I should create a "pink slip" icon for the "layoffs" topic. The latest is InsWeb, the online insurance company. InsWeb has recently lost most of its value, its biggest customer, and now a significant percentage of its workforce. But, to make people happy they announced a "path to profitability" in 2003. I think they might want to focus on the path to "survivability" at this point.
