Mattel Could be Spying on Kids

An article from Simson Garfinkel in Salon about how he discovered some hidden software on his computer that communicated with Mattel. They insisted that it was only to send "up-to-date" info to various programs, but he points out that it could be used for much worse purposes - and that it's well hidden and he was never told that it was being installed. Newer versions of Mattel's software don't include it any more, but it's still a little scary.

    Protect yourself before your privacy is eroded any more. Download and install ZoneAlarm or something similar.
