Seagram + Vivendi + Canal Plus = Lots of News

Okay, okay, I'll post the news about Vivendi, their Canal Plus TV group, and Seagrams merging together. Struck me as a bit of a "we can merge too" play. It's not clear how well the firms will merge (considering they're based across the ocean from each other). It will be interesting to watch what they do, but while everyone keeps comparing this to AOL/Time Warner, I don't see the synergies being as strong.
