The Latest in Silly Patents

It seems that any company that uses computers for international trade may soon have to pay money to Ed Pool. Ed will soon own a patent on "a process for carrying out an international transaction ... using computer-to-computer communication." The patent office claims that it's extra careful on such patents, but I'm not sure what their definition of "extra careful" is.
