A fairly long article which boils down to some very simple points. Many people have multiple accounts at various free internet services, thus inflating the numbers of how many people actually use the services. Many services have started releasing numbers on "active" users, but mostly no one cares enough to figure out how to deal with "duplicates". Not sure what the other 30 paragraphs in the article are for.
