High-Tech Halloween Fright!

from the ouch-was-that-my-poll-rating dept

It looks like some secret deals conducted by people in the white house (Clinton-Gore) led to them turning a blind eye whilst the Russian Government supplied Iran and Iraq with high tech weaponry. I’m sure that Mr.Gore isn’t going to enjoy this on the eve of the elections, I guess he’ll just have to put that one next to saying he invented the Internet (one of several very silly mistakes).

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    When will that one die?

I'm ashamed of you Ryan for continuing to discuss the whole "internet invention" thing. It's been covered to DEATH everywhere, and it's been made clear plenty of times that it wasn't really a silly mistake on Gore's part, but the media going insane.

Ouch! I was just having some fun, I guess one of the amusing parts of living in Europe is that I get that I miss out on all the TV and radio stuff that everyone else listens to. I knew it was old but I didn't realise it that big of a deal!

Okay, I take it back! I'm a bad man for bringing up the Gore "I invented the internet" thing!

Okay. Sorry. It's just been taken to such extremes here I cringe every time I see it. This whole campaign from both sides has been one of the more painful things to watch. It's nice to see that every single candidate seems to be a completel slimeball.

I'm really dying to see these trashing ads, I'm going to go and check out their websites to see if they're streaming them.
