Record Company To Sell Copy Protected CDs

A record company is preparing to sell music CDs with a copy protection scheme they believe will prevent consumers from ripping their songs into MP3s. Of course, most people don't think it's going to work. Whatever scheme they have will most likely be broken very quickly. Also, if the audio can be played, there's some way to record it digitally. This is probably a huge waste of time and money for the company, but if it makes them happy...Thank you for reading this Techdirt post.
