Blogger Begs For Money

Rumors were flying a few weeks ago that Blogger was out of cash. It appears those rumors are true as they've now posted a message to their site begging their users for money to upgrade a server. A lot of people really like blogger, and so far they've already raised a few thousand dollars from donations. I wonder what would happen to the blog culture if Blogger shut down? While there are plenty of other services, I'd say a fairly large percentage use Blogger. Of course, it does seem like the type of thing that a Yahoo! might want to buy to include with Geocities.
