Getting Nasty With Music Pirates

Techdirt seems to be turning into "all Napster stories, all the time" these days... Anyway, here's an article about Copyright.net, which has created a bit of intrusive software that searches out users hard drives that are sharing copyrighted songs and automatically sends an email to their ISP telling them to shut down the account. The only way the user can get Copyright.net off their back is to replace the offending piece of music with a digitally protected version that will only play a few times for free - before pointing the user to a partner site where they can buy the song. Thankfully, not all ISPs listen to the Copyright.net complaints, saying that they have no right to intrude on a user's hard drive - which has nothing to do with the ISP.
