We Don't Do Enough To Promote Ethical Behavior Online

An interesting article suggesting that we don't do enough to punish people who are unethical online. Too many online websites are doing very questionably ethical things such as mouse trapping, continued pop up windows, automatically downloading software, and forcing you to change your home page. In the case of the article, the writer's daughter got all confused. While it was easy enough to figure out and fix - it isn't that way for everyone. So, the less knowledgeable get tricked and pissed off, and there's nothing they can really do about it. While I'm not sure if there's a real solution to this, I have found that online businesses do tend to take much more of the attitude of "well, if you don't like it, fuck off" rather than any sort of standard customer service response. It would be nice to find a business that actually responded to what its customers wanted online.
