Up Close And Personal With The Nintendo Gamecube

Stephen writes "Futurelooks has an exclusive, up close and personal preview of the Nintendo Gamecube! We've held it, fondled it, played it, poked at it, and previewed all of the seven titles that will be launching with it this November. Sound tasty enough for you? Here's a clip: The first phrase that comes to mind when we think about the GameCube is "Resistance is futile". The GameCube literally looks like a miniature Borg cube in smoked blue. At roughly 5” squared it certainly is the smallest of next generation consoles coming to the market. It even has a convenient handle on the back that almost boasts a certain ease of portability that neither PS2 nor the table sized Xbox can say. From the specs provided by Microsoft, the Xbox is about as portable as your average home PC. GameCube on the other hand could quite easily fit in a nylon lunch sack."Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
