The Humiliation Virus

Salon has come up with a number of examples as to why the Sircam virus has the potential to be extra embarrassing. Since it grabs a random file from your "my documents" folder, who knows what you've just distributed to everyone you know. Salon comes up with a bunch of possible humiliations from secret corporate documents to the awful novel you started or the compromising pictures of yourself you've got stored on your hard drive. The one thing that I've found odd is that I've received about 10 or 12 copies of the virus from a single person - and it's someone I don't know. As far as I can tell I think it's a spammer who happened to have my email address in his/her addressbook. Serves them right. I hope it fries their hard drive (though I still can't figure out why I keep getting more copies of the virus from that one person).
