More From ClothingDirt

from the it's-a-growth-area dept

Last week we had a few stories about high tech clothing, and here are two more. First, how would you like to have bionic clothing that helps you lift heavy objects? Sounds like a good deal to me. Even, better, though is the shirt that rolls up its own sleeves when it gets too hot. This same shirt, by the way (and this might be a bigger selling point) never needs ironing. It straightens itself out, even if you've kept it scrunched up in a suitcase for days. A traveller's dream. Actually, that whole "rolling the sleeves up" automatically thing kinda freaks me out. I don't think I want my shirt to roll up my sleeves for me.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

      Re: mhh5!

I'll let you know when my own personal Project X is going to revolutionize the fashion industry... Ironic that I personally have no interest in the clothes I wear, no?
