Turns out that men waste a lot more time flirting with women over email than vice versa. At least in the UK where this study took place. It seems that men waste a lot of time using email to flirt with women - while women spend a lot of time on email to "plan their weekend and social lives". It also turns out that email is the number one channel for starting up office romances. If only we were still in the dot com days - I'm sure some dot commer would have come up with some way to (try to) make money off this study.
