eBay Sellers Angry At Charities Auctions

It seems that eBay can do no right by their sellers. Every time they try to do anything, the current sellers get angry about how it's going to destroy them. The latest is a move by eBay to allow some sellers to donate some of their earnings to the Red Cross for the WTC tragedy victims. However, people who earn their living off of eBay, say that it creates unfair competition against people who can't afford to donate to the Red Cross. I'm just amazed that any of these sellers use eBay at all. All they seem to do is complain.

A good thing, leave it to the eBay users to ruin i
of course it doesn't surprise me that those big cheiftans are the ones probably complaining.
this is a good thing, really. for society. i think its a wonderful fad, hope it becomes a trend. imagine if companies could differentiate themselves by the charities with which they share their profits. by the goodwill that they bring others through their sharing vs. differentiation through price alone, or by the fact that they deploy advertising tactics which exploit others.
about eBay, as a freemarketeer and extreme capitalist, I am somewhat disillusioned with its move away from a free marketplace. it seems to be getting more and more regulated. this is not good i think. it should steer clear of politics and opinion.
