Hutchison 3G, the British wireless company, has announced that they've appointed an executive to look into mobile porn. They think that on a 3G network, porn could be a huge revenue driver (probably true). I just wonder what the guy tells people he does for a living. He works for a nice, respectable company and he's in charge of figuring out their porn strategy. The article then goes on to talk about how some don't think porn will be a big deal on mobile phones, which I think is probably a bit naive (the quote about it crossing the "public/private" line is just silly). Though, they do say that in the US, "moralistic" opposition will make sure that phone companies figure out how to block any sort of wireless porn here.
