Yahoo! $earche$!

from the damn-this-silly-thing-called-a-business-model dept

Perhaps envious of Amazon's first profitable quarter, Yahoo! is launching a consumer-paid premium search service to supplement its revenue streams with some non-advertising dollars. Consumers will pay a few bucks to access the documents found throught the Northern Light powered search. I've played with it a bit, and it found some interesting hits, but I wonder how much true appeal it will have. Although I'm very curious what these articles say about techdirt -- but is it worth $2.95?
