Shedding A Little Light On Web Services?

from the it's-about-time dept

Zakk writes "A clear and concise explanation of the Web services concept by Brit designer Patrick Cooney. Up to now I have equated Web services with online applications, but this article made me realise that they offer more of a back end solution. Now suddenly I can see some sort of market potential, although it will inevitably take a while to emerge." Definitely a better article than most about web services. It's a little technical at the beginning, but certainly clears up some of the more confusing points about web services.

    my explanation

Here is an article I wrote 15 months ago about .NET, which I still think is accurate and covers "web services" as you are using the term here.
