Plenty Of Ways To Virtually Shoplift

It seems that last week's story about shoplifting by iPod allowed a number of creative shoplifters to tell Wired exactly how they go about stealing software from computer stores. Among the more interesting methods were asking a store employee to demonstrate the CD-burner (at which point said employee burned some $100 software to a CD for the customer), using a digital camera to "test" compatibility (and, while they're at it, downloading programs into the camera's memory), and finally, simply sitting at an internet connected machine and FTPing stuff to your own machine.
