Senior Execs Go Online For News

from the as-they-should dept

I don't find this all that surprising. A number of studies have recently pointed out that senior executives use online sources to keep up on the news that's important to them. Of course, what they should be doing is signing up for Techdirt Corporate Intelligence so they don't miss the news that's really important to them (and don't waste their time on useless news that has nothing to do with their business). Anyway, I would think that a senior exec who doesn't use online sources to keep up with the latest news in his or her industry these days is likely to be a bit behind the curve on what's happening.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    Slackers!

Don't these senior executives know they shouldn't be surfing the web during working hours? They could be so much more productive -- at least that's what the article mentioned yesterday claimed.
