Tiger Beat Journalism Alive And Well At Business Week
from the hard-hitting dept
theodp writes "Business Week's editors pull all punches in an oh-so-polite interview with Amazon's Jeff Bezos, holding the CEO's feet to the fire on the really tough issues like looking up phone numbers online (doesn't make sense to Jeff - 411 and good old-fashioned phone books are so practical!), favorite movie (Dr. Strangelove is Jeff's all-time favorite!), and his love of sashimi (it's a real problem - Jeff can eat a WHOLE TUNA!)." Heh. There are actually some other questions in there with interesting answers, so it's a little unfair to just pick out the more colorful questions and make it sound like Business Week just took out the kiddie gloves. Sure, it's not the most hard hitting interview, but it does have some real information in there, as well as some "colorful" info to make it more interesting. I don't have a problem with that.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
