VCs Becoming CEOs

The general pattern for many VC partners was to build up a successful track record as an entrepreneur and then move over to the "dark side" and become a VC. These days, however, many VCs are moving in the other direction and becoming CEOs or top execs at startups. Some say they wanted a bigger challenge than handing out checks, while others just find the thrill of running a company much more exciting than being a VC. Of course, the first job of most of these new CEOs is to hit up their former colleagues to write a few of those checks...Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets.
