Text/SMS Messaging Totally Insecure

The Inquirer has a story, which they got from an anonymous "insider" at a wireless carrier pointing out that SMS text messaging in completely insecure, and the messages reside on a server for a while, where anyone internally can check them out. The source claims that customer service reps waste free time by reading through users' text messages and following the trail to the sender. I doubt most people send sensitive info over SMS, or that most people consider it absolutely secure - but this goes a bit beyond what would be reasonable. Always a bit questionable to trust "anonymous" information - but it wouldn't be that surprising if this were true.
