Student Writes Essay In Text Message Form
from the teacher-baffled dept
With just a little stretching you could probably turn this article into something you'd find in the Onion. We've had articles in the past about teachers getting annoyed with students using "texting shorthand" in their papers, but now a teacher was flabbergasted to receive an entire paper written in texting shorthand, which the teacher found impossible to read. The teacher, who wanted to remain anonymous, was quoted as saying, "I could not believe what I was seeing. The page was riddled with hieroglyphics, many of which I simply could not translate." Of course, this is bringing English teachers out of the woodwork complaining about how text messaging is destroying the language. I think people get too worried about these things. Languages change over time. However, that doesn't mean students can't be taught when it is (and isn't) appropriate to use such "advancements".Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

No Subject Given
Handwriting isn't the issue. The problem is that whether it's written or typed, children don't know the difference between a noun and a verb, nevermind putting together a correctly formed sentence.

Our time really transforms the language very much, and now students often use jargon in their works. Rarely, but still, there are times when it comes to impossibility. Many of the students even use outside help, something like written services. I recently came across a review of one such service - https://foxiesessay.com/studymoose-review/
I was surprised that the studymoose provides hundreds of services in different areas and specialties, probably it is now in demand

peace corps essay
https://essayscollector.com/examples/peace-corps-essay-examples/ Your best source for help with your Peace Corps essay is your local PC recruiter. They will give you one-on-one feedback that’s directly applicable to your country of service. Before you meet with them, I (Christina) have put together a few tips to help you start thinking about how to write a strong application statement. I worked for my university as a writing tutor, and I love helping people become stronger writers. The advice in this post is based on trends I’ve noticed after spending far too much time on Peace Corps forums and reading essays posted by hopeful applicants. I hope you find it helpful!
