As ICANN continues its efforts to shut itself off from any public scrutiny whatsoever, they're planning to move on to the post-Stuart Lynn stage. This would seem like a good thing, considering Lynn's inability to understand the basic issues that everyone has been yelling in his general direction for so long. However, the Register points out that the replacement candidate might be trouble as well. Apparently, he tried to trademark the word "privacy" at one point. As the Reg points out, "can you ever trust anyone who has tried to trademark Privacy™ to run your domain name system?"
