Sony Gets its way despite the customers wishes?
Mike, in 20 years, after Sony and the other members of the RIAA get their way, we'll all be happy being able to pay $50 to get access to a limited selection of Bob Dylan's works in order to get enough songs to make our own CDs. Everything else will be Britney Spears...or whomever they dredge up (that looks good but cannot sing worth a darn) that can afford to sell their soul to be a rock star.
Bob Dylan may suck (I like his music, but he sings as well as Britney or any female cat in heat,) but at least we have a choice...the RIAA doesn't even want to give us that.
Then again, I'm with you...I'd like to see serving the customer reintroduced into the Entertainment Industry.

Whoooooaaaa, are you implying that Britney [even] looks good?

Re: Sony Gets its way despite the customers wishes
Notice the conjunction... Britney Spears or whomever they dredge up... no else in there, so that would imply that Britney either looks good or doesn't look good. Its non-committal, open for interpretation.
Frankly, she doesn't meet my standards...but obviously someone likes her or she wouldn't be there, certainly not because she can sing.
