It's Global Anti-Spam Day - But There's Nothing You Can Do

from the what's-the-point? dept

I really had no idea that today is "Global Anti-Spam Day", which is apparently being sponsored by Yahoo to "raise the profile" of the spam problem. I didn't know it needed any profile raising either. I don't think that's the real issue, these days. Most people know it's a problem - they're desperately looking for a solution. I'm not really sure what a special day does to help us get any closer to the solution.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    End Enterpise level spam problems.

You could end phishing attacks, and get 100% spam elimination without any false postivies. New uprising, proven spam solution that goes beyond what filtering and cumbersome current technologies use.

It's called MindComet Total Control, and you can find out more about it on Messaging Pipeline, Internet Week or the product's page. They offer demos where you can test the product by trying to get spammed and see for yourself that this idea works.
