Consulting Firm Helps Cut Out Corporate Bull

from the consultants-with-too-much-time dept

Over the past few years, most of the folks I know at any of the big name consulting firms admit that they're spending a lot more time doing nothing than actually working on projects. So, if you're an unstaffed consultant with too much free time (and too many useless buzzwords floating around your head), what are you going to do? It appears that a group of very bored unstaffed folks at Deloitte Consulting have written a nice little application to run through your Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents to alert you if you're using too many corporate "bull" buzzwords. As, they say: "We've had it with repurposeable, value-added knowledge capital and robust, leveragable mindshare." Though, of course, they admit that they might have had something to do with the overuse of those words in the first place. You can download "BullFighter" yourself, if you want to make sure you don't get caught up using synergistic extensible repositories to incentivize your team to create a new accretive paradigm to leverage existing assets into measurable benchmarks.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
