Thai Gamers Work Around Curfew

from the that-didn't-work-so-well dept

If the goal of the Thai internet gaming curfew was supposed to get people to go home and sleep, it appears to have failed. While it has made gamers angry, it's also forced them to find other things to do when the game servers get shut down each night at 10pm. A number of them are simply switching over and playing LAN-games, PC-based games, or going onto IRC to chat. In other words, nothing has really changed, except they're upset at the government. Sounds like a useful curfew.

    No Subject Given

Dude, could you maybe reference three or four more previous techdirt articles? I mean, it's hard to pick through and find what the actual new news story is with all the furtive corss-referencing going on....

      Re: No Subject Given

Thanks for the (albeit sarcastic) input. We've discussed this before, and the general consensus was that people liked the other articles for giving context, and it was easy enough to tell which articles were offsite and which were on.

But, we'll take your feedback into consideration as well.
