  "Forgive me electronic father," a repentent 13-year old states after entering the RIAA's latest electronic confessional, "for I have sinned...I used Kazaa to browse music I was planning on buying, and robbed the RIAA's coffers of money they never would have received if I hadn't been browsing Kazaa."
  
  The computer responds in a metallic voice, "You are forgiven, my son, now please sign this contract allowing us to search you and your property at any time without reason, and prepare the necessary $100,000 per year service charge for the absolution of your sins. Have a nice day."
  
  Welcome to the new world, where state no longer exists and the corporations and religion have merged into one powerful organization. I wonder when RIAA will state asking for tithes and demand tokens for entry into heaven?

    I will NEVER buy another CD as long as the RIAA has anything whatsoever to do with the artist. I further pledge to download and freely share musical works of artists until such time that I may legally purchase them without the constraints imposed upon the consumer.
    Let the tea party begin.

      Agreed.
      Now all you have to do is convince the other sixty million music lovers around the world not to buy anything, and pledge themselves to lives of file sharing as well. I would like to be the first, and I applaud your uploading. Here here. Let em try to sue us. So what if they have more resources than we do. We have the cause that's right. We have... something to believe in. We have... hold on a second... We have... almost nothing... make that absolute nothing. And that number goes down quite a bit when the RIAA starts throwing court papers your way.

    Already arrived, in Canada, we must pay a levy, a percentage of money to them every time we buy blank CDs (in CASE we use them for pirating...since of course, that's the ONLY reason anyone uses blank CDs)

  Oh yeah, give them your AND YOUR CHILDREN'S racial information (present on most official ID's - required by their "amnesty") without knowing what they're going to do with it.
